Russian Ballet Festival
- Intensive Training Program
The annual ballet festival consists of the Stars of Russian Ballet Gala, and a very special program for ballet students,
The Russian Ballet Intensive. The purpose of the festival is to bring world class dancers
and teachers to the Metro-Detroit area to allow ballet students the opportunity to train here in Michigan with some of the
top international instructors and ballet dancers. This year we are grateful to host dancers and instructors
from the Bolshoi Ballet, Mariinsky Theatre, and the National Ballet of Ukraine. The
festival runs for two weeks, culminating with the gala performance. Classes include
Technique, Pointe, Pas de Deux, Variations and Contemporary. Students have the opportunity to attend question and answer sessions
with the professional dancers and view their preparation for the gala. Students participating
in the festival have the unique opportunity to perform alongside international ballet
stars at the close of the festival in the Stars of Russian Ballet Gala. The program is open to students
ages 8 and older, intermediate-professional level. For more information on how to participate
in the festival please contact Ballet Russe at 248-982-7882 or email russianclassicalballet@hotmail.com.
