On March 27, 2010, we took several students to St. Petersburg, Russia, to study ballet and attend an international ballet festival. S. Rayevskiy and J. Rayevskaya accompanied the students.  Our students studied ballet daily with such esteemed teachers as Gennady Selyutsky. Our students worked hard in class and we are very proud of them. They also had an opportunity to meet other students from various schools, including students from Russia and Poland Several of our students were selected to perform in the Festival Concert at the Estrada Theatre in St. Petersburg. Anton Korsakov, another soloist of the Ballet Company of the Mariinsky Theatre, conducted their final rehearsals for the performance. The students danced beautifully! Our students also had an unprecedented opportunity to visit and tour the Vaganova Ballet School, of which Rayevskiy is an alumnus, and to attend two Gala performances at the Mikhailovsky Theatre: one in honor of Konstantin Sergeyev and another in honor of Natalia Markarova, at which a newly established Dance Open Grand Prix was awarded. In their spare time, students had an opportunity to visit the Hermitage, Peter and Paul Fortress, and many other cultural sites. Our students, who represented their school and country very well!
